SPOON!

Spoon was written by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and illustrated by Scott Magoon.

On Sunday, Spoon goes visit his Aunt Silver. Spoon was always on his best behaviour when he visits his aunt. Spoon visits his aunt every Sunday. Once, Spoon was feeling blue. His mother asked what’s wrong, but Spoon said nothing. Spoon thought a lot of other people are better than him. Spoon wanted to share it with his mother. First Spoon talks how Knife is so good and lucky, then Spoon talks about how cool is Fork, and finally Spoon talks about chopsticks how cool they are. Spoon feels he’s not cool or exotic. On the other side, all people were talking about Spoon how cool and exotic he is. Spoon’s mother wanted to talk to Spoon about something. After he realized he could do the things his friends can’t do, he doesn’t feel unlucky anymore.

I think this book is a pretty awesome book. It talks about how people are different from each other. Spoon thought he was different than other people. He always talks about how other people are better than him, but he hasn’t realized that how other people think about him, and how many things he can do. The book could be used on the kids that think they’re different than others. They will realize how he/she could do the same things other people could do. I think this book is for Grade K-5. (4-11 years old)
