I Used to be a Fish

The story is about a fish evolving in a human

Author and Illustrator: Tom Sullivan

Once upon a time, there was a fish. The fish was too tired to swim. The fish grew some legs so he has the ability to walk and breath on land. When he’s out of the water and on land, he changed even more. Now he’s an amphibian. He liked walking around and seeing new things, but some of the other creatures feel like eating him. He grew some fur and he learned how to hide from predators. Now he’s a mammal. One day, a volcano erupts and a huge amount of creatures die from the eruption. After the huge eruption, the creature changed more and more. Finally, he became a monkey. He loves to swing around trees and eating bananas. Then he bigger and bigger till he loses his bottom hands and his bottom hands become feet. The monkey was losing fur so he survived in the cave. Finally, the monkey lost all his fur. The cave wasn’t warm enough for him so he built a hut. Then he thought the hut was too small, so he built a house. He was kind of tired of building so he decided to rest for a while. After his nap, he starts building a society. After he built his society, he wonders what will happen next…

I think his story was very good. The story is actually a very good way to teach evolution. (Even though it’s not true) I rate this story a 5/10 because I was wondering ‘how could a fish evolve into a human?’ I knew this was fake but in my opinion, it is kind of for primary grades.
